Sarah's Story
I don't think that 'Thank You' is truly enough for all that you have done for me. This last year has been the single greatest personal growth period in my life thus far. I am happy to report that I am very delighted with the person I have become - even proud of myself at times. I am certainly proud of the fact that my children have their mom back and that she seemingly has what it takes to be a role model after all. You reminded me that I have to be strong not only for myself, but for my kids as well, reminded me of the reality of my life when it was easier to look away from it. You gave me what I so desperately needed, a helping hand. I know the biggest compliment for you would be that I "made it", and I will not let you down. The expectations you have for me. I view my life now in terms of accomplishments. I am so very excited about my life's direction now. When I think of my life a year ago, I cannot believe I have come this far. It would have never been possible without the help from SHELTER, Inc. The help I was graciously given changed my life forever. My three small children were also very much affected by this change and they are also very thankful. SHELTER, Inc. did not just help, but gave me back by dignity and returned to me the most important thing to my - my family.

Norma's Story
My name is "Norma". About six months ago I was in need of financial help (desperate help!). Thanks to SHELTER, Inc. and your funds, that help became a reality and a way up and out for me. Because of my lack of living skills I came to SHELTER, Inc., asked for help, sought out solutions and guidance and received with humility and gratitude the help I so desperately needed. Thanks and appreciation to you for preventing homelessness for my beautiful daughter and myself. I am forever grateful. Thank you to my case manager who so patiently listened and directed me.
