On July 27, 2009, at Round Hill Country Club in Alamo, 134 golfers swung their clubs to make a difference for homeless families in Contra Costa County. Almost $90,000 was raised for SHELTER, Inc. through the support of our sponsors, golfers and dinner participants. On July 14, 2007, SHELTER, Inc. honored Lyle Morris, a long-time Board Member, with a dedication of the Lyle Morris Family Center in Antioch (formerly the East County Family Transitional Center). Lyle's dedication to families in need and his impact on the community will live on through the mission of SHELTER, Inc. and the families served at the Lyle Morris Family Center.
