Planned Giving Opportunities
The Legacy Society:  By leaving an investment to SHELTER, Inc., you become a member of The Legacy Society, a group of extraordinary men and women who have created a gift for SHELTER, Inc. Members of the Society are people who have demonstrated their belief in the work and mission of SHELTER, Inc. by including the organization in their estate plans; it is a deep and moving commitment. Examples of investments include:

• Bequests made in your will or living trust
• Bequests that name SHELTER, Inc. as a beneficiary of a retirement fund, insurance policy or successor to your bank or investment account
• Life Income Gifts such as the Chariable Gift Annuity

United Way and other Workside Campaigns
We are listed as SHELTER, Inc. in your campaign directory.  Designate your pledge to SHELTER, Inc. by entering the campaign code number #3186 in the space provided on your pledge form.

Corporate Donations
Donations from businesses and corporations are always welcome.  Appropriate appreciation is demonstrated by including the business's name in our newsletter, newspaper articles and annual report program.  For additional information please contact the Development Department at (925) 957-7572.

Car Donations
SHELTER, Inc. accepts most vehicles, running or not, which are then sold. The proceeds from sales, after related expenses, assist homeless Contra Costans obtain economic stability and housing. Please call Car Donation Services, Inc. directly at 1-888-686-4483 and tell them you'd like to make a donation to SHELTER, Inc.

Tiny Tickets
The residual amount left on your BART tickets will be redeemed at face value. Just turn them in to SHELTER, Inc. at 1815 Arnold Drive, Martinez, CA 94553.
