Homeless Prevention & Rapid Rehousing (HPRP)

SHELTER, Inc. was awarded a grant for homelessness prevention and homeless assistance funding. Part of the 2009 American Re-Investment and Recovery Act, the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) helps Contra Costa residents who are on the verge of homelessness or who have recently become homeless.  The program is sponsored by the Contra Costa County Conservation and Development Department and the Cities of Antioch, Concord, Pittsburg, Richmond and Walnut Creek.
